Method

Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Prepare the Chicken - Clean the chicken lollipops and shape them if necessary.
  2. Step 2: Marinate - Combine garlic, ketchup, soy sauce, vinegar, salt, paprika, ginger powder, pepper, and chili powder in a bowl. Coat the chicken and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Step 3: Prepare the Coating - In another bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, and egg to make the coating mixture.
  4. Step 4: Heat the Oil - In a frying pan, heat oil over medium heat, enough to partially submerge the chicken.
  5. Step 5: Coat and Fry - Dip marinated chicken in the coating mixture and fry until golden brown, approximately 5-7 minutes per side.
  6. Step 6: Drain and Serve - Use a slotted spoon to transfer cooked chicken lollipops to paper towels to drain excess oil and serve warm.

Notes

  • Double dip the chicken for an even crunchier texture.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in an oven at 375°F (190°C) for 10-15 minutes to retain crispiness.
